We don’t change how you look. The face in the photo has to match the face at the border.
Common questions
- Do I need to create an account?
- No. We do not have user accounts. Pay per report; the report is delivered immediately and via email link if you provide one.
- What if my photo gets rejected after a Prep?
- The consulate may still reject a photo that passes our check — we approximate the published rules, and the authority makes the final call. Prep outputs are non-refundable once delivered. If we made a clear technical error (the file failed to deliver, the analysis crashed), we will re-run it or refund.
- What does Prep actually do?
- We crop and resize the image to the destination country’s exact spec, replace the background colour, balance uneven lighting and shadows, and compress to the required file size. You get a submission-ready JPG plus a 4×6 in print sheet.
- What won’t Prep change?
- We don’t change how you look in the photo. That means: no removing glasses, no changing your expression, no opening closed eyes, no moving hair off your face, no straightening your head tilt. The face in the photo has to match the face at the border — those things need a retake from you.
- Bulk discounts for travel agencies or families?
- Not yet — bulk packs and a B2B API are on the v0.2 roadmap. Email hello@getphotocheck.com if you process more than 10 photos per month.
